Hi

I have created a feed from my geeklog site but when I add a new story, it does not appear on the feed although it does appear in the "What's New > Stories" and on my main page as requested. The feed is set to
- Format RSS
- Contents all Stories
- Limit 10 entries
- Length of entries = 1
- Filename wwbblog.xml

Any ideas?

Thanks
Kevin

So, what's in the feed file? A problem with file permissions, maybe?

bye, Dirk

I'm not too hot on file permissions but even when I'm logged in as administrator it doesn't update (even for an story added as administrator) but it seems that if I rename and save the file, the new story appears?

Otherwise, what would I need to check re file permissions?

Thanks
Kevin

Well, the file has to be writable by the webserver process. When it's created from within Geeklog, it should have the proper permissions automatically, but your webserver may have some non-standard setup where it doesn't do that.

Check that the file has at least 644 as the permissions. If that doesn't help try 664, then 666.

bye, Dirk

Great - it worked changing permission to 666

Thanks Dirk
