What do the numbers mean after the topic?

For example, at www.geeklog.net, under the "Sections" block, the "Announcements" link currently (as of 9/12/05) has a "(191/1)" after it.
I know what the 191 means, but what does the 1 mean?
All of the others have a 0. For example:
Geeklog (182/0)
Geeklog 2 (25/0)
Announcements (191/1)
Security (42/0)
Server (22/0)
Spam (4/0)
All but "Announcements" have a 0 as the second number.
What is the second number? It doesn't appear to be particularly useful -- am I wrong? Can it be turned off so it doesn't print?
