My site has suddenly stopped working after several months. Here's the error msg:
Warning: mysql_connect(): Access denied for user: 'arizonac_gklg1@localhost' (Using password: YES) in /usr/home/arizonac/public_html/system/databases/mysql.class.php on line 112 Cannnot connect to DB server

My host says there's something wrong with my database. Would restoring the database correct the problem? I have a fairly recent backup from within geek but don't know how to restore a backup.

Thanks.

I suggest trying to repair your database first before you try and restore your backup, unless your backup is fairly up to date. to repair your database (or attempt to), log into it from outside of geeklog, for example, from phpmyadmin if that is what you use, and attempt to check and/or repair any corrupt tables, etc.

Backup your current database also. I get mysql errors from time to time out of the blue but they always clear up after a little while.
GeekLog Hosting, Installations and Upgrades - WWW.AWEHOST.COM - Hosting starts @ only $4.95/mo.

That's a good suggestion.Thank-you However I tried that and it didn't make any difference.

I'm wondering if there's something wrong with the username/password since the msg mentions access and password. But it's odd that those items would have changed since I've made no configuration changes to the system in months.

Thanks again. Any other suggestions other than restoring the database?

For some reason, the password in my config.php file had changed. I changed the password back to what it was and was able to open the site. Does anyone know how that could have happened and how to prevent it from happening again? Thanks.

You should change all your passwords for your site, things like that don't just randomly change on their own.
Yes I am mental.
