Hi all,

I'm hoping you can help point me in a direction being that I'm still relatively new to PHP. What's happening is that some of my menus are showing up twice -- almost like it's looping through the plugin section. Any plugins or static pages I create end up being processed in the order ABCABC. It's not a showstopper, but it's kinda annoying. Anyone have any ideas?

Are you referring to the top menu? If so, open config.php and comment out plugins. See ex. below.

'home', // link to homepage
'contribute', // contribute / "submit a story" link
'links', // link to the links section (aka web resources)
'polls', // link to past polls
'calendar', // link to the site calendar
'search', // link to advanced search
'stats', // link to site stats
'prefs', // link to user's preferences
// 'plugins' // links added by plugins, like {plg_menu_elements}
'custom' // for custom links (see lib-custom.php)

Awesome. That's exactly what I was looking for and your resolution worked. Thanks much. I guess my next question is:

Why would static pages be both a plugin AND not a plugin? Same for phpbbbridge. I can understand why it wouldn't show up if it's rem'ed out, but why did it originally show up twice?

See above where it says custom. If the plugin is coded in your lib-custom.php then it will show up twice. Once as a plugin and once in lib-custom.php Someone correct me if I'm wrong on that.

Logically it makes sense, but my custom function was already rem'ed out. I also didn't see anything in lib-custom.php that looked like it would have an effect on the plugins or menu, since I haven't done enough research on that yet to change 'em.

Also, thanks for your input. I really am trying to learn this thing... I've been able to find most of the answers I'm looking for on my own, but this one got me.

If you, or someone else, could help me to understand why, I'd appreciate it. I noticed it after the upgrade to .11sr1, though it might have been there before and I just didn't notice.
