my hosting server has a 2000 files limit per directory. i'm getting close to upload 2000 images, what should I do ? does geeklog switch to imagesa/imagesb etc. ?

As far as Geeklog is concerned, you're out of luck, I'm afraid.

With that many images, have you thought about using an image gallery? Inmemoriam at least (and possibly others) provides you with an autotag that puts a preview of a picture from an album into your story (or so I'm told - haven't actually tested it myself).
