inconsistent google display in topic blocks

This is a new installation. I've created a new block called Ads by Google. In it I inserted the Google AdSense code. It works fine in the two default topic pages (Geeklog and General News).

But when I created a new Topic and replicated in it the settings for the two default topics - everything appearing to be the same except the Topic name - I am getting the generic public service announcement that Google uses as a default.

Any idea why this new page is being treated differently from the two defaults?

Isn`t there a maximum of ads per page of 2?

This is not Geeklog related. Look over here

I found a simpler solution. I deleted Geeklog from my server and installed one where requests are handled more courteously. I will not be missed and likewise.
