When I click on DB backup from the Admins Only menu list I get:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: admin_simplelist() in /home/content/"mysite"/html/admin/database.php on line 115
Any ideas?
--------
later:
I posted an update - but the jist of it is that accessing anything from the Admin menu that is in the admin folder returns a "Fatal error" message. Using 1.4 and just upgraded with the latest security fix. Also I have been working with the css for customizing my pages.
Looking, but not finding anything.

Nope. I did a fresh install of 1.4 originally. I just upgraded yesterday for the security fix. Things have been working ok before. (note I have been working with the css file.) I did notice though that - say when I would publish a new story and maybe things like blocks - I would hit the publish button and go to a blank page.
It would post fine - but I would have to hit the back button to get to a site menu.
But this new "fatal error" thing just leaves me out of the Admin business.
Any ideas?

I have my site hosted by godaddy. godaddy.com
The thing is that it was working before.
Appreciate your interest.
It is sort of interesting that in the admin directory the only folders that continue to be accessible are "mail users" and "spamX". - though if I send mail and click on the "go back to administration page" I get the "Fatal error" again.
I also get "Documentation" & "GL Version Test" but those are just outside web pages .

You will get this error for any admin function that uses functions from system/lib-admin.php - which are almost all, as you've noticed. In all the files that don't work, you'll find this line somewhere:
So they all require that file to exist (and be readable and not corrupted) and that $_CONF['path_system'] is set correctly.
HTH
bye, Dirk
Text Formatted Code
require_once( $_CONF['path_system'] . 'lib-admin.php' );So they all require that file to exist (and be readable and not corrupted) and that $_CONF['path_system'] is set correctly.

I saved my css and configure files and reinstalled. Seems to be working now. Thanks for the feedback.
