There are a couple of things to check..
First, check the Geeklog error.log file (there is a link under Admins Only -> Media Gallery -> Log Viewer) and see if there are any errors.
Second, make sure you do not have moderation turned on for the album, if you do, then the uploads are going into the moderation queue for that album.
When you upload, do you get a "File uploaded Successfully" message?
Thanks!

OK, I am willing to bet that your host/sever is running under Windows. There is a permission problem with the directories public_html/mediagallery/mediaobjects/* - These directories below the mediaobjects/ directory must be writable by the web server. Can you check to make sure these are writable, if you can't, can you ask your hosting provider?
Thanks!

Well, my Windows administration skills are not that strong, but let's see what we can do...
First, are you running Windows XP, Server 2000 or Server 2003?
You can try right clicking on the folder for mediaobjects/ and see if there is a Security tab, if so, make sure you grant the user the web server runs under write permissions. Some folks will just set EVERYONE to have write permissions and that will certainly solve the problem, but it will allow anyone that has access to the system to make changes (including deletes) that those files in those sub-directories.
On a standalone XP box, I don't normally see a Security tab when I right click, so I'm not exactly sure how you would change the permissions if that is the case.
Sorry, I'm not much of a Windows admin, now in Unix I can tell you how to fix it easily, but that really doesn't do you any good

It looks like you may need to update the permissions on the mediagallery/mediaobjects/orig/ and mediagallery/mediaobjects/tn/ directories too. The disp/ directory has the proper permissions since those are being created, but the orig/ and tn/ need to have write permissions too.
Thanks!

One other thing you might want to try, I have a development version (currently at v1.3.4) which has a ton of new features and I have rewritten much of the upload routines to give much better feedback if there is a problem on the upload (including the permission problems). v1.3.4 has been out a while and I have not heard of any stability problems, several folks are running it in production. It is available at the Media Gallery support site (http://www.mediagallery.org).
You might consider giving it a try.
Thanks!
