Filemgmt problem

Hi. I'm using Filemgmt 1.5.2, and I have a problem. I created a category, and some subcategories under it. I added files only to it's subcategories, but not to the category itself. So now, when I hit this category at the top of filelisting, I just get a message that there are no files in the category. I know that, but why doesn't it show at least the subcategories? Just the message...
It is very inconvenient - if I have more than 6 subcategories under it, I can't get to all of them, because filemgmt shows just 6 subcats under a certain category in the filelisting. And I just can't get a full list of subcats. Another great thing would be that if a category doesn't have files, but it's subcays do have them, then show those files in that category listing
Can I somehow achieve those? Thanks

I've noticed this also on Filemgmt 1.4.2 and Geeklog 1.4.0. You can add a dummy file to the main category (perhaps a suitable readme file for the category) and then it works all happy.
I also noticed some strangeness when creating sub-categories to sub-categories. It just plain did not seem to like that at all. I did not bother to test if it was same problem as above...
And I agree, it would be nice if the if the "Latest Listing" treated the category/sub-category as a filter and displayed the latest files uploaded for that sub-category...

Solved that with a little 'hack' to the code
But I still have this problem: one of my 'main' categories, "Movies" has no files added to it. Though it has some subcategories with files. What I need is when I hit a link to "Movies", to show all files from "Movies"'s subcategories and not the message that there are no files in category. How can I do this? Filemgmt's code for categories seems too complex for me
