Installing Menu in GL 1.4

I badly need to upgrade my website to GL 1.4, but I'm running into a brick wall trying to install the Menu 1.6.1 plugin I was using... It's giving me a blank page when I click the install button.

Things I have done so far in php.ini...

1) Turned register_globals ON
2) Verified that register_long_arrays is ON
3) Set error_reporting to E_ALL
4) Set display_errors to ON

I restarted the Apache2 server and verified my settings had changed by using the phpinfo() output.

What else do I need to do? Can someone help me

ETA: I'm using GL 1.4.0sr5-1 on my local Linux server with Apach2 and PHP5 - this is just a test bed to see that I CAN get this working before I upgrade. Smile

Update... It is creating the tables 'mnu_index' and 'mnu_user' when attempting install, so it gets that far... I tried deleting those tables and reinstalling the plugin, but no go.

Ok, stupid me didn't think to look in the error logs for Geeklog itself. Razz Doesn't really say an error, but it does show you where it's dying...

Well, I still haven't solved this in a fresh 1.4 installation, but I was able to take a 1.3.11 installation using my site's db tables and upgrade it to 1.4 - menu still works after upgrade. Since I'll be upgrading the *actual* site, as long as the menu works that way, I'm happy! Smile
