Any compelling reason to upgrade to MySQL 5 now?

Sam,
I would recommend that you make sure all the plugins you use are compatible with MySQL 5. I know I ran into several SQL calls in Media Gallery that I had to fix for MySQL 5. I'm not sure how many other plugin developers are testing against v5. That's the only concern I see.

Actually, Geeklog 1.4.0 itself still has one bug left with MySQL 5 (that I know of). It gives you an SQL error when you call up the dialog to add users to groups (from the icon in the last column of the group list).
It's not a showstopper, though, as you can still add users to groups by editing the user and checking the group there. The fix is here if anyone needs it.

InMemoriam most certainly is not ready for v5. Also, all global functions will fail with sql errors for ambiguous clauses if they run across a plugin which is not compliant with v5.
