I want to some chenges to theme: search box put on header-beside the logo, and put a header image full size on header (on "Professional" as header size and little higher as well). I translate geeklog to my language. it's right to left. so I put a line to CSS file such as: $lang_DIRECTION= 'rtl'; I want to centering the Stories title, but didn't find which one is what and other.
http://www.eynek.biz/Sinaq can check it obove link.
How to do for those?
Thanks anyone help.

See the theme documentation. You probably want to start with a copy of the Professional theme to make your changes in, so you have a working theme to fall back to. See http://wiki.geeklog.net/index.php/Troubleshooting_themes

bye, Dirk

Seriously? Confused

Make a copy of an existing theme and modify that. Go to My Account and change the theme setting from Professional to whatever you named your new theme (the theme name is the directory name).

The search field is in leftblocks.thtml and it sounds like you want to move it to header.thtml.

If you need more information than that, then you should really read the documentation.

bye, Dirk

This Geeklog website has the search function on top of the header: http://www.kampeerzaken.nl. View the source code and css, it's not that difficult.

Did you read the docs, like Dirk pointed you to earlier? You have to change **/public_docs/layout/name-of-the-theme/header.thtml.

OK, **/public_docs/layout/new theme (change this name)
But what about header.thtml ? (how to change that file?)

Use an ordinary text editor, like Notepad, or better Notepad +++. If you do not have any knowledge of html, stay away of these files..

You looks like didn't understand my question, Sir.
I know where can I edit the file. Even I can do this in my Control Panel provided by web server. My question is, header.thtml changes which line? or add what between which and which line?
I understood I have to change new theme file name to "professional".
Thanks your reply.

Open that website in your browser, then right click somewhere in the page and select "view source" or whatever is the equivalent in your browser.

You could open your header.thtml file and place the following text at the top and bottom of the file:

Text Formatted Code
<!-- start of header.thtml -->
...

...
<!-- end of header.thtml -->

Then go and view the source of the file that your webserver has generated in your browser again and search for the comments that you have just inserted.

Or, just hire a programmer to customise the site for you Big Grin
