LinuxTag was off to a quiet start on Wednesday, which didn't really surprise anyone, given the nice and warm weather we're currently enjoying over here. The real traffic is expected on Friday and Saturday.

The most commonly asked questions at the Geeklog booth were So what is Geeklog? and Does that iBook run Linux? which just goes to show that we have some evangelizing to do - and which is exactly why we're doing this.

Media Gallery v1.2.6 has been released and is available for download.

This releases fixes a few minor bugs. The following bug fixes are included in this release:

• Called siteHeader() twice causing issues with other plugins in envcheck.php
• Enhanced Inmemoriam import, now pulls comments, views, authors.
• Fixed issue where EXIF data would not display below media item
• Fixed issue with UTF-8 encoded sites using the popup windows in Media Gallery
• Thumbnails now create at 100% quality setting
• Moderators could not edit images or access moderator menu

Please see the filelist file that contains a list of all files changed since v1.2.5. This will make upgrading very easy for those who only want to replace the updated files.

This new version of GUS contains fixes for register_globals being off as well as few other improvements. Thanks to Adrian Crook for sponsoring some of these changes.
