Geeklog

This story is mainly intended for those running a Geeklog site in a language other than English ...

In an attempt to get rid of the last pieces of hard-coded english text in Geeklog, I've spent most of last weekend working my way through the code, following long lists provided by Lolo Fernandez and Serhiy Kuzhanov (Thanks!), but also moving bits and pieces I found along the way (and fixing some minor bugs as well). So what we have now (in CVS, that is) is a version of Geeklog that localises properly when you switch the language file.

Which brings up a crucial point: We are in desperate need of updated language files!

Adding archive material

Geeklog Since my RDF question was answered so quickly, I figured I\'d see if I could go 2-for-2...

I have a lot of material that I wrote for my previous site (plain HTML) that I\'d like to copy over to my Geeklog-enabled site. I\'d like to assign dates before this year, and the only way I\'ve found to do this is to set the system date on my server back. Is there a way to accomplish this without screwing with my system date?

Geeklog Couldn\'t find a feature request section, so I\'ll just try here.
How about making it so that whenever there is a submission, an email is sent to the admin? Don\'t know if this has been requested yet, but I think it would be very useful.
Keep up the good work.
Also, anyone have any suggestions on books or ways to learn php?

Thanks.
Brian.
