"Cannot add header" weirdness

I just installed a new install of 1.3.1 and when I load a page I get the following error multiple times: Warning: Cannot add header information - headers already sent by (output started at /usr###/home/<userid>/public_html/geeklog/config.php:589) in /usr###/home/<userid>/public_html/geeklog/system/lib-sessions.php on line 133 (where usr### and <userid> are values best not shared). Each time the line number is different. The net result of this seems to be an inability to log in via any account, including the default admin account. Any ideas on what I've done wrong or have yet to do?

Make sure that the files in the logs directory are readable and writeable. Most FTP programs allow you to change the attributes of a file. Set the files to 777 or enable all attributes. Also make sure that you have configured the config.php and enter the path to the config.php in the /public_html/lib-common.php I really like Geeklog, but someone should at least write a user friendly installation guide. A lot of little bugs are known and can be pointed out to the user before or while installing....
