I am working on Making a theme and making geeklog fit my site at the same time. I need some help. I need to know how to change the color on the bar that has the site name and the time and date to white, I can't locate the section in the code to do this, and also will it just change that area or others? Also need to know how to change the GEEKLOG link at the top center to my image.

Hi there, The easiest thing to do, would be to copy /layout/Yahoo to /layout/Mysite . Once you've done that, edit /layout/Mysite/header.thtml and find the following lines: <tr> <td bgcolor="#DDDDDD" height="20"> <b></b> </td> <td bgcolor="#DDDDDD" align="right"> <b></b>&nbsp; </td> </tr> All you have to do is replace #DDDDDD with #FFFFFF to change the top title bar to white instead of grey. To solve your next question, 3 lines down from the <body> tag is a line which reads: <td colspan="7" align="center"><br><font size="3"><b><a href="">Geeklog</a></b></font><br></td> To put up your graphic instead of the Geeklog text, all you need to do is change the line to: <td colspan="7" align="center"><br><font size="3"><b><a href=""><img src="/images/logo.jpg" border="0"></a></b></font><br></td> and make sure you upload your logo to /layout/Yoursite/images and all should be well. You can change the color either through modifying /path/to/geeklog/public_html/layout/<theme_name>/header.thtml or by editing the style.css in the same directory. ----- The reason people blame things on previous generations is that there's only one other choice.
