Warning: Too many connections

How can I use persistent connections with GeekLog? I keep getting this error message: Warning: Too many connections in /home/httpdocs/geeklog/system/databases/mysql.class.php on line 75 Cannnot connect to DB server Digging further, I noticed over a 100 open connections! It says here to use persistent connections: http://www.mysql.com/doc/T/i/Tips.html Is this the way to go or should I tweak something else? Please help.

I got this, too. I've been told it has nothing to do with the number of guest or logged-in users noted on the site. However, nobody has really addressed the issue of persistent connections. I'd be interested in answers to your question. David

I have been getting it too but have been unable to tell if it is my site or the provider. My site isn't seeing a whole lot of traffic yet so I have to lean towards the provider.

I think, I would dump the webhost.

Just a thought!

Happy New Year!
