Cannot find next page

Hi, I've come across a strange issue with displaying pages with more than min number of stories per page (default 10). After clicking next page I get 404.
I've recently upgraded to 1.3.5. Though it was only with the old content but it doesn't work with new stories either.
I tried to find a similar problem already posted before bothering anybody however couldn't find anything.
Could anyone help me on this please.

Look at this article. It is likely you need to fix a typo in index.php
