Weird displacement of article body

Right First off love the Log of Geek, it is close to my ideal of a cms/intranet. But one major problem!! Whenever I edit header.thtml (doesnt matter which skin) even though I haven't done anything drastic, say changed a color or summat, the main text is knocked down to below the left blocks on every page!! Strange - the only way to fix it is to go back to the original header file that came in the skin. All I really want to do is make the index display the articles across both the center and right blocks inline with the rest of my site, and not just squashed up in the center with empty space on the right... Does anyone have any idea what I am doing wrong - and is there a solution to displaying the main articles across the rest of the available space? Most greatful if you can help... DeMuX ;]

what editor you use? Dreamweaver? Frontpage? i understand the Dreamweaver tends to modify the codes a little if you save the file within it.

Wow - completely right! Just tried editing with notepad and no problem. Comparing the filesizes of before dreamweaver and after hints at extra data being written...mmm. Thanks muchly - now I can get on with tweaking GL, yippee! DeMuX ;]
