Log-in Problems

Hi,
Wherenever I log in, I see the user i've just logged in under in the "Who's online" box, but the rest of the page is like I'm logged out (i.e I still get the log-in box, etc.) I've worked with Tony for a bit, and I've discovered geeklog (1.3.5-sr1) simply doesn't send me the cookies in lib-sessions.php. I get into the SESS_setSessionCookie() for example (checked with a COM_errorLog() call), but it won't actually do the setcookie(). I'm using Apache 2.0.36 with PHP 4.2.1, on Windows XP. I've tried this with PHP buffering both on and off, and register_globals is on, of course.
Note: This is *not* the www./lack of www. bug with incorrect domain in the config.php
Tony said in IRC he'll check it, but I guess he's too busy so I'm hoping anyone here can help me. I tried a lot already, I reckon it's some sort of header problem, but I have no idea.
Thank you,
-Nimster

after updating PHP from 4.0.6 to 4.1.2 we had eactly the same
problem but after putting register_globals=On it worked again.
perhaps it's apache who makes trouble? we use still a apache 1.3x
Version on a solaris machine.
Hope that helps you to figure it out ...
