OK I don't get it! When I check out the sites using geeklog most of them have their site at the root domain such as www.foo.com. Is this right or are they using a redirect script? If they are not using redirect and they are not putting their files in the root directory how are they doing it? Please help so I can install, Thanks alot, kel

The idea is that the contents of the Geeklog public_html folder go into your DocumentRoot (webroot) directory and everything else should go outside of it (so that is not accessible via an URL).
"public_html" is a widely used name for the DocumentRoot folder (so that's why we're using it). "htdocs" is another popular name for that.
As a rule of thumb: If you have "public_html" as part of the URL to your Geeklog site, then you've done something wrong.
Hope that makes things a little clearer.
bye, Dirk
