Hmm, that line number is a bit odd ... Which version of Geeklog are you trying to install there? The current version is Geeklog 1.3.5sr2 - you should not use any older version.

You get this error because the path you entered in the install script is not correct. If you are using Geeklog 1.3.5sr2, there will be a "hint" below the edit field which should help you find out the proper path.

Btw, it is possible to install Geeklog on Tripod. For demonstration purposes, I've set a Geeklog site up on Tripod Germany: http://mitglied.lycos.de/geeklog/ (site is in German, though ...).

bye, Dirk

i have tried with no success too, to note, on the 1st step of installation, GL installation did warn "Warning: You have register_globals = Off in your php.ini. However, Geeklog requires register_globals to be on. Before you continue, please set it to on and restart your web server." The path it found looks correct and has been added/ modified in common-lib.php and config.php Any ideas?

I don't know why but i have tried it again changing the path again and ending it without the "htdocs", and reverting it back to WITH the path ending with htdocs in both config.php and lib-common.php and it worked. Do take of of the paths such as the public_html path in the line of config.php that reads (line 76) $_CONF['site_url'] = 'http://members.lycos.co.uk/etegration/public_html'; as above, mine i configured as above. It should work. Now to test out stuffs before moving the upgrade over to my actual site, if you're interested, http://rssitzone.etegration.com regards-
