When I submit a email using the contact us option, it seems to goto my hosts network operation facility, I thought that the config.php line: $_CONF['site_mail'] let me change this email address or is there another place to find the settings for this? Thanx

It depends on the theme you're using - some use the email address from config.php while others link to the email submission form of the admin account. The Admin account, however, has "root@localhost" as the default email address ... So change the admin's email address and it should work. bye, Dirk

Ah - I'm using the X-Silver theme. I also deleted the Admin User as I replaced it with another with full geeklog access rights. So I just recreated the Admin again, with a valid email address and it's not working still. Any more help would be great.

The "Contact us" link in XSilver has "uid=2" in it. That's the user id of the original admin user. Now since you deleted that user and created a new one, your admin will have a different user id (uid). You need to find out that uid and replace it in the link (in layout/XSilver/header.thtml). bye, Dirk

Would be nice if the Theme writers in particular would start respecting the standard variables in the system. $_CONF['site_admin_url'] and $_CONF['email'] for example.

The beauty of themes is that you can change them easily yourself if you don't like them ... In my opinion, the email address should not be used in a theme (to prevent misuse, e.g. spam). Linking to the admin's email form is a good idea and works most of the time (since it's rare that someone deletes the original admin account). bye, Dirk
