Hi all.
I´ve been looking for a way to moderate user comments for the last few days, and haven´t find anything on the subject yet. Does anybody know if this is possible?
Well, I know it is possible. The real question is: where can I find how to do it?

Hate to disappoint you but, no, it is not possible to moderate comments. The only thing you can do is to disable comments for anonymous users by setting
$_CONF['commentsloginrequired'] = 1;
in config.php - but comments by registered users will still be without a moderation.
bye, Dirk

Actually, you can also comment out the comments function inside the Whats new" block function (in lib-common.php) as well as the option for Comment Preferences in the User Functions block (in lib-common.php as well).
After doing the above, the only thing you have to do is save stories and polls as comments disabled and your users will be none the wiser!!!
I did toy with the idea of having moderated comments, but dropped it after I really thought about the massive responsibility that'd entail.

There would seem to be a value in moderating user’s comments and posts to a forum. What about sites with both children and adult users.
Also, what about offering the ability to moderate some users, but not all or have two groups of logged in users...one which starts out as non-moderated and then can be placed in the moderated group, or the inverse start out a user as a moderated until they have demonstrated the credibility to be non moderated.
It would seem a good thing to add to the new release.
Is anyone able to come up with a solution until then?
