Time Zones and User Details

Hi, thanks for the feedback on my earlier problem... but now i've got 2 more hehe. 1) - how do you change the date format from EDT to show GMT instead. I know there was a mini-discussion about this in february, but i'm wondering if anything has changed since then. 2) - how can I add fields to the user details so that they can add more information about themselves. Thanks.

Geeklog will always use PHP's time zone, which in turn is the same as the web server's which it is running on.

There are feature requests already for both the time zone and the extended user information but I guess they both will have to wait until Geeklog 2.0 ...

bye, Dirk

You could simply modify $_CONF['date'] in config.php so that it doesn't include the time: $_CONF['date'] = '%A, %B %d %Y'; bye, Dirk

but all other things such as shoutbox, download etc will still reflect the (wrong) time.
