I want a banner placed in the middle of my geeklog. where all the news items and other stuff is placed and it have to stay their always

I would put it in index.php then, right after the line that reads $display .= COM_siteHeader(); You could do something like $display .= '<img src="http://adserver/mybanner.gif" alt="buy me!">'; bye, Dirk

check gxblock.com too. i think he set something up that allows a picture at the top of each topic.
