Hi!

Log-in Problems stopped when upgrading gallery 1.2.5 to version 1.3.1, but unfortunately the gallery now stands alone and doesn't integrate into my geeklog site:

If you move on to 1.3.5 then the new integration kit from efarmboy (langfamily.ca) works like a dream. Installs in moments too. Cheers, Euan.

Oops, didn't read your mail properly did I. It works perfectly on two of my GL sites (1.3.5sr2). Are you using the integration kit from langfamily.ca? Check there or squatty.com for the latest version. Cheers, Euan.

Not sure - I emailed you some ideas (from looking at your site, the directory structure looks a little odd). Cheers, Euan.

Saw your post on my site as well as on Squatty's site - you get around. Let's keep the discussion here so were all not skattered. It looks like the gallery init.php file is not detecting the GALLERY_EMBEDDED_INSIDE = "geeklog". Have you tried some basic debugging stmts to determine if gallery is executing the geeklog initialization code in the gallery init.php file? Do you have the stmt: require_once ($GEEKLOG_DIR . "/public_html/lib-common.php"Wink; near the top of your gallery init.php file (with the other require statements) and that the variable GEEKLOG_DIR is set in the gallery config.php Blaine

Ignore the comment about the REQUIRE stmt for lib-common.php near the top of the <gallery>/init.php file. I had it there on my site because I was using another geeklog function - but that's not required. The include of lib-common.php is done a bit further down in init.php as part of the geeklog embedded code. I further tested the available directions with Geeklog 1.3.6rc1 and a clean install of gallery 1.3.1 and the integration completed without any problems as per the directions. I've subsequently tried to improve the directions and have updated the file on my site downloads. Blaine

Good question .. I started to reply here and was adding more and more detail so I decided it was best to submit it as an article for a wider audience. You are not alone in needing some ideas on how to debug. Blaine
