CHMOD problems

Hello people, I was told earlier the reason i was getting some specific errors on my geeklog page were due to wrong chmod settings. So I checked I got the following that made no sense to me:
Testing logs directory /path/myhost.com/httpdocs/logs/ ... Could not open error.log and access.log for writing. Please check that you have set the logs directory and the files error.log and access.log in that directory to chmod 775.
Current permissions for logs: 775
Current permissions for error.log: 775
Current permissions for access.log: 775
I just dont understand how it can say I failed the test because my file permissions are fine.

Yeah, I see that occasionally. Try chmodding the files (error.log and access.log) only to 777. And only if you still get errors after that, do a chmod 777 for the logs directory itself.
bye, Dirk
