Okay.. I'm desperate...Paid to have someone upload geeklog....The user and password won't work....I dont know if the password is being mailed to the MOON but I KNOW it is not mailed to me.. the ADMIN.. so now what? I've tried to look through the entire site for help.. Now I'm desperate. thanks to ANY GEEKLOG expert who can give me that answer to my problem.. Please help soon... thanks

The only alternative I could think of: If you have a UserAdmin account and still know that password, you could log in as UserAdmin and change the Admin's password.

Otherwise, you're out of luck ...

make sure mail() is working on the server that's hosting your site. It's possible you don't have permission to use the mail() function and the password isn't even being mailed at all. That's a problem I encountered awhile back. I'm wondering if possibly the geeklog admins can take that into consideration and have a flag in config.php that lets the person decide whether to use the mailer, or to have everything manageable over www?

Hmm, I have never looked at it this way. Is it really a common restriction to disallow the use of mail()?

Umm if you paid to have GL installed, then wouldn't it make sense that that person you hired should fix and resolve this problem for you?
