Problem with Stories

I just did a clean gl1.36 install on a RH7.3 system. Everything installed fine. Everything is working except that Admin/Moderator can't create new stories or modify old ones. I can modify/delete events and links but not stories. I get no errors when I try to modify/delete stories, it just doesn't do it. Any Suggestions?

My suggestion would be to use the search function before posting ...

This has been discussed several times already, see here for an example (and possible solutions and workarounds).
