i can get new fields to display and have added the coresponding rows in the gl_users table. but it wont store the information! just wondering what i need to do to get it to store this information also what does this mean and wer can i add/change more $LANG04[8]

You need to modify the function that saves a user and you need to change the switch statement at the bottom of the page to pass your custom attributes to the save user function. Also from an upgrade stand point messing with the user table is a bad idea (what if we ever added a field with the same name as one of your custom ones?). I'd considering using a seperate table keyed off user_id...just a thought. the $LANG references text in the language file. See /path/to/geeklog/language/english.php and it should make more sense.---The reason people blame things on previous generations is that there's only one other choice.
