Will frontpage static display a banner ad ? I have put in a test code which says
Welcome to Sitename
followed by a doubleclick advert tag.
On the Home page the Welcome appears where it should but the advert tag remains missing. The code is in the source code when viewed. The tag does contain some Java.
It does display on the StaticPages admin.
Any ideas.

If the code for the ad is just plain HTML then it should work. However, if it contains code that should go into the <head> section of a page, then you have a problem here.
An example would help ...

Here is the exact code - there is nothing between the <\html> and <body>
<script language='JavaScript' type='text/javascript'>
<!--
if (!document.phpAds_used) document.phpAds_used = ',';
document.write ("<" + "script language='JavaScript' type='text/javascript' src='"
document.write ("http://advert.balita.org/adjs.php?n=ad8d24c0"
document.write ("&target=new"
document.write ("&exclude=" + document.phpAds_used);
document.write ("'><" + "/script>"
//-->
</script><noscript><a href='http://advert.balita.org/adclick.php?n=ad8d24c0' target='new'>
<img src='http://advert.balita.org/adview.php?target=new&n=ad8d24c0' border='0' alt=''></a>
</noscript>
btw Did increase the graphics size to 490 to accomodate the 468 width.
Hope this helps - this has been a bit of an on-going enquiry Dirk notice this only display on the Home page - I am/was looking for something to display on the beginning of every story page. Home is good for starters.

I have added the same code code to header.thml and it views without problem so the problem must be within the way Static Pages displays the banner code. If you look you will see the test code is headed "Test for Ad Code to be removed after testing" the static code still only displays the text.
Welcome to Cebulists.com
<code for banner is here> not displaying

Hope it makes sense.
