1.3.6 themes problem

Well, where do I start? Ok, I heavily customized the 1.3.5rc2 Classic theme, but didn't bother to change the directory name. I did back it up though, before I installed 1.3.6. After the new install, I deleted the new Classic theme, and replaced it with my old modified one. The result:
Template Error: filename: file /home/banhorn/goldentaco-www/layout/Classic//menuitem_last.thtml does not exist. Halted.
For some reason, it's tossing an extra "/" into the mix before menuitem.
The wierd part is that all the other themes work, even the new Classic theme... so I guess I'm asking what has changed this time around?
Thanks for any help you can give,

The extra slash is added by the template engine that Geeklog uses - nothing to worry about there.
The theme changes in 1.3.6 are explained in detail in the documentation.
