Right Blocks won't go away

I just upgraded to 1.3.6 from 1.3.5sr2. Everything has gone over without a hitch except for the fact that on my intitial page (the one that prints the weblog from the db), it is acting like there are right blocks there. My static pages work fine (ie, only blocks on the left and all other data spans the rest of the width of the page -- no right blocks). The comments in lib-common.php say that right-hand blocks are not displayed by default and looking at the code this seems to be what it should be doing: function COM_siteFooter( $rightblock = false ) but, for whatever reason, it still thinks they are supposed to be displayed on the main page. Thanks in advance for the help.

If I understand you correctly, you need to remove the {right_blocks} variable from footer.thtml. bye, Dirk

I just fixed this on mine by going into /path/to/geeklog/public_html/layout/your-theme/rightblocks.html and changing the file to only contain <td> and </td>. Of course, IIRC some places will always put in right blocks so this may break that - i'll have to see.
