Well leave it to me to break something...

I recently installed gl 1.3.6 to replace my static site. All was going fine until yesterday when I tried to change the block order and side for the what's new block.

The thing just up and disappeared. I searched here and found some mention of protal blocks doing the same. So I waited an hour and the gldefault block has not returned.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance!!

Is it still in the list of blocks (that is available from the Admin menu)? If yes, then maybe you just disabled it by accident (there's an "enabled" checkbox in the block editor). bye, Dirk

It is still showing up as a block and the first thing I checked was to make sure I didn't screw around and disable it and then I checked again. Obsessive/Compulsive ;-)

I did a reinstall of the database from a backup prior to the problem and that fixed the problem... so for yucks I tried moving the block again and same thing happened.

Okay, since it is reproducible (at least for you - no such problems here): Can you make that block disappear again and then go into the database and quote the contents of the fields for this block (from table gl_blocks)? I'd really like to know what's happening there ... bye, Dirk

I was doubling back through all the changes I had made prior to it wigging out and just as I figured out it was a plugin I got an email from tom at pigstye.net. It was a bug in his stats plugin and he has put a new fix for it on his site pigstye.net.

Thanks for your help I do appreciate it!
