Contribute with Image

I've installed GL as potential basis for a community site.
I can't figure out how to let ordinary users contribute stories with images. Admin gets a fancy story interface with images etc, while ordianry users just get a box. Can I change that?
(I want users to be able to submit insect infestation pictures...)

Normal users can't upload images in stories - the user submission form wasn't designed for that.
You could of course add that feature by copying a lot of code over from admin/story.php, but I'd guess that's a fair amount of work ...
Other options: You could give some of your users StoryAdmin access - but then they would also be able to edit other people's stories.
Or you could allow the <img> tag in user submissions (add it to $_CONF['allowablehtml'] in config.php). The images would have to be stored somewhere else then, though ...
bye, Dirk

I'll look into adding this support since 99% of the code is already written, however, keep this in mind. Allowing this may seem cool but it introduces a ton of picture copyright issues. Are your admins going to check each and ever submission with images to ensure the images were stolen or 'borrowed'? For intranet/internal uses I can see the need, however. ---The reason people blame things on previous generations is that there's only one other choice.

Tony, this could be solved when the stories are submitted. If you are concerned about copyright issues, then you would set it to Administrative approval of stories. Stories that get submitted with bad images would be manually rejected then.
