Comments Aren't "Threading" Correctly

Hey guys,...

I've finished installing Geeklog on my new site http://www.gizmozo.com. It's not finished yet, but there's something going on with the comments that I can't figure out.

It seems as if that no matter how I set the comments in the config.php (which is currently set at "threaded") or how I change the "view comments" feature in the articles themselves, the comments always load as "flat" I've tried setting it to nested, threaded, etc. but it's always just flat.

Is this a bug (prolly not) or did I just do something wrong in the configuring the software? (most likeley)

Any help/tips/explanations would be greatly appreciated!

The setting on config.php is only the default setting for how comments are displayed (for new and anonymous users). Each registered user can also set his/her own preferred mode of viewing in the Comment Preferences - so maybe you set it to "flat" there. bye, Dirk

Even when I login as myself and change my default settings, the comments remain "flat." Is there anything else that could be causing this?

Nothing that I'm aware of. At the moment, there are two comments under the "Your Pet Vaccuum" story on your site and for me, they are 'threaded' correctly, i.e. the second comment is indented since it's a comment on the first comment. Seems to work fine ... bye, Dirk

The comments look threaded to me too. Try clearing the cache in your browser.

When they weren't threading correctly, I was using 1.3.7rc. After trying to get them to work, I uninstalled everything and installed the stable 1.3.6 Since then my comments seem to be threading correctly. I probably did something wrong,...but could it have been something about 1.3.7rc? Has anybody else had this problem?---Edwin Day http://www.gizmozo.com
