Access Rights on the Home Page

I just moved an existing installation of Geeklog to a new server. Everything seems to be working well EXCEPT when I log in on my home page I can't get anywhere else. Let me explain a little more.
My site is a membership driven site where only members get the good stuff. So, I have the access rights clamped down pretty tight. I'm also using the Menu plugin, if you come to the site and register (or just browse anonymously) you only get to see info about how to join. Once you DO join, you get placed in the correct group and can then see the entire menu.
Now, being admin, once it knows it's me I should be able to see everything, but that's not the case. In fact, when I log in and look at "Who's Online" I see my handle and Guest listed (even though I'm the only one there). Also, once I've logged in, I can go to any other page manually (say /admin/) and then I see the whole menu open up on the side and give me access to the whole site.
So, is this a Menu issue? That seems odd since Menu works everywhere else besides the home page. Or is it a Geeklog issue? Is there some permission I didn't set at the new server, or some file that didn't get copied over perhaps? I'm going to reupload everything I can and make sure that's not the case.
Thanks for your help and such a great system!
Scott

My guess is that it is a cookie problem -- perhaps between your old site and your new one. Clear you cookie cache and see what happens.
If that does not fix it change to a theme like xsilver that shows who is logged in and see what it shows. Menu picks up the user from geeklog.

Thanks for the hint Tom. I got it fixed, and it was actually more simple than that. It was because the DNS had not yet transfered. So, instead of pointing to my IP address, it would mutate the URL to my host's address which made things wonky. I added a "/" after site-url in my header (which is a slightly tweaked X=Silver) and it's been working fine.
Thanks for the help though! And the Menu!
