I have done all of the integration direction and now I'm faced with different issues.. 1064: You have an error in your SQL syntax near 'WHERE name = 'whosonline_block'' at line 1 Unrelated but funny that's what showed up after I did the integration.. Also when I go to the gallery directory www.yoursite.com/gallery, I'm faced with these errors.. Warning: Cannot add header information - headers already sent by (output started at C:/MyPortal/gallery/config.php:22) in c:/MyPortal/Mygeeks/system/lib-sessions.php on line 273Warning: Cannot add header information - headers already sent by (output started at C:/MyPortal/gallery/config.php:22) in c:/MyPortal/Mygeeks/system/lib-sessions.php on line 159 Warning: Cannot add header information - headers already sent by (output started at C:/MyPortal/gallery/config.php:22) in c:/MyPortal/Mygeeks/system/lib-sessions.php on line 171 Arrrggghhhh. I'm going nuts here. Any thought? I'm using IIS, w2k and I'm not sure whether this is what cause the problem.. Please help... Thanks.. The Dude

Just a general note (since I'm not familiar with the Gallery integration): The "headers already sent" notes usually mean that you have whitespace at the beginning or end of a PHP file, i.e. before the opening <?php or after the closing ?> - make sure there are no blanks, empty lines or line breaks there. PHP even tells you were to look: "output started at C:/MyPortal/gallery/config.php:22" - so it's line 22 of Gallery's config file where you should be looking for the problem. bye, Dirk

Welcome to my hell! I have had this problem since day one, I am able to get the integration to work properly but can't get any of the blocks to work without getting the same error message you get. I have reinstalled the a myriad of times always with the same results.. I bet you are running IIS?

Do yourselves a big favor and switch over to Linux. I did and love it. I was using an IIS server for quite awhile and was constantly running into annoying bugs when using different open source software not just on Geeklog. I think most of the open source php developers use *nix so it's more thoroughly tested on those operating systems. IIS has some weird quirks and doesn't even execute some arguments in some of the common PHP fuctions like strftime. On an *nix system, you'll still run into bugs using different software but at least they aren't the really weird kind so common for IIS. The only problem in switching is there is a bit of a learning curve as the file structure is totally different, but IMO it's much more secure and organized. If you can access the command line or SSH, the commands are different. It also opened the door to many more things I couldn't do on my IIS host. Using a simple .htacces file, I can now easily ban bad bots, ban IP addresses, stop hotlinking to graphics and scripts, have search friendly URLs, etc. For me, it was well worth the move. If you stay with open source software, you might want to consider this too.

Sure, maybe I switch my religious affiliation while I am at it! (: Seriously, I know running a Linux server would make my life easier in some respects but then I would have to run a second server which I am relaly trying to avoid. I rely way too much on some of my other Windows server based applications to let it go all together. Most of the time you can get this stuff to work, especially if the developer develops and tests on both platforms..

Thanks everyone.. Yes you are right. I'm running IIS. I'm very tempted to switch to Linux right now with all the problem.. Dirk, I did check the white space and you are right.. It fixed the problem.. Now if only I can figure out what the hell is wrong with this message after I fixed the previous problem I would be happier.. 1064: You have an error in your SQL syntax near 'WHERE name = 'whosonline_block'' at line 1 Unrelated with Gallery but it showed up.. Any takers? :-) The Dude

You won't find a fix Dude! I hounded Squatty and Blaine to the point where I am afraid to email those guys! Unfortunatley until we find someone who will rewrite the blocks on an IIS system, we're hosed! Any takers? My left cahone for a recent galleries block!

I guess I better switch to Geekary than. Sounded good.. I'm gonna try to play around with it. In the meantime, the Gallery integration now officially corrupted my database even after I unintergrate it.. All of my right stuff like who's online, chatterbox, all disappear.. @#$%.... :-(

Yea, that happened to me a few times.. Luckily I had backups (: I really want to use Geekary but it just doesn't have the features yet and the layout is a little odd. I am sure by V2.0 it will be ready for primetime.

This is an old thread, but I fixed this issue by removing the last / at the end of the gallery path in lib-custom.php. I got rid of that error, but now whenever I enable the gallery-last_updated block the home page won't load... -will

I had the following warnings after trying to install the Random Gallery Block: Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /xxx/geeklog/system/lib-custom.php:126) in /xxx/geeklog/system/lib-sessions.php on line 163 Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /xxxx/geeklog/system/lib-custom.php:126) in /xxxx/geeklog/system/lib-sessions.php on line 175 Just wanted to say that Dirk\'s advice here helped me out. Thanks!
