Hey fellas and Gals, Im having trouble with GL i cant seem to surpass this section of selecting database i have d/loaded mysql and tried to make a database but i seem to be doing somethin wrong...... here is my settings in config.php $_DB_dbms = 'mysql'; $_DB_host = 'pimp'; $_DB_name = 'geeklog'; $_DB_user = 'Tom'; $_DB_pass = ''; $_DB_table_prefix = 'gl_'; this is all i have but the real thing i wanna know is to do with the database i tried creating a database called geeklog like it is in my settings but i dunno i need help please :>

is "pimp* a valid DB Host? If MySQL is on the same box as your web server change that to 'localhost'. To create your database do: /path/to/mysql/mysqladmin -u<user> -p<password> create geeklog Then run your install script.---The reason people blame things on previous generations is that there's only one other choice.
