Where would I find the code to get rid of the (X/X) next to the sections in the left block? Our site doesn't take submissions, so the pending number is meaningless and it really doesn't matter to the people of our site how many stories are in each section. Thanks!

Turn this off in config.php. Setting is called something like $_CONF['showsubmissioncount']---The reason people blame things on previous generations is that there's only one other choice.
