Dear SirI am wondering if it is my setup or a bug. I installed 1.3.7sr1 and noticed that the site_slogan for site setting doesn't work.Has one else encountered this problem? Or is it just me? I tried checking the Geeklog for any message on this but didn't see any.Regards

I haven't seen anyone else complain about this. Perhaps the file is corrupted or you didn't enter it correctly? Does it show with the default themes?

Thanks for responding. Personally I didn't notice it too until I decided to place a slogan up to try it out. I am using Classic and have not done any mods to the theme.

The site_slogan is a global variable so make sure your server has globals set to "on". I think it probably is since you aren't experiencing other problems. If you're using a default theme with no mods yet it should work. My guess is you may have a corrupted file. Site_slogan appears in config.php and lib-common.php. Try reloading a new copy to your server of those two files.

I've encountered problems when I had an apostrophe in the slogan and anything after the ' wouldn't show up. I don't know if that helps but there you go. :-)

HI
I switching themes from Classic to Smooth_Blue and it seem to work. Looks like Classic doesn't support Slogans.
Thanks all of you fo r chipping in.
