Fully Modded Geeklog

I am in the process of making a "Fully Modded" Geeklogg, which, hopefully, out of the box will include all of the current themes downloadable from here as well as all the plugins. Themes of course are not a problem, nor is adding the sql for various plugins into the install.php (well, mysql_tableanddata.php). Unfortunately I realize I may be biting off more than I can chew because, while knowing enough php to get by, I am hard pressed to really understand what is going on in the more complex settings of it. So I guess to more get to the heart of what I am looking for, has anyone ever taken the time to integrate a plugin into geeklog prior to the installation, so that once the install is complete, the plugin is up and going as well? If not, then besides the sql, (and obviosuly going to vary to some degree between plugins), what else is really necessary in the install scripts for the plugins to make these work? Any assistance here would be truly appreciated. Thank you!

I also plan on having gallery and CMS Bridge w/phpBB as part of the out of the out of the box, but still needing path information updated updated manually.

The only thing I can think of is to do default installs of all the plugins, do
the gallery wrap, etc etc, while leaving GL in its default configuration.
THEN packing everything up in ONE file, including the MySQL dump.

Then all the new install would need is editing the config on GL and other plugins/Gallery, and loading the MySQL dump.
Kinda like moving a GL install to a new server, if you know what I'm saying...

That is kind of how I am looking at doing it. For now though I am trying the hard way and extracting the sql out the various install files for the plugins so that hopefully once someone starts the install of GL, all of the actual data is installed, and all the other files are in their proper locations. Once that is done, then I will put the bridge, phpBB, and gallery in their appropriate places as well, and document all the files/paths that need to be updated for someone to install it. Unfortunately I don't see any nice way to do a single install for all 3 programs at once, but maybe a simple framed page with links to the installs of each component with some shell calls to enable/disable the gallery setup. Thanks for any input and letting me ramble and get ideas....=p

You could always have the the Geeklog Install call the the install for the various plugins. Most functions have an install.php which has an install function you could simply call... It might be easier then trying to integrating all the installs yourself.
