Specified upload directory, /home/hateispo/public_html/chscommunity/images/articles exists but is not writable File Upload Errors: I get that message when I try to save/edit/upload a story. What can I do? Please send a response to Mike1022@juno.com, because I may not have time to check back here for a little while, but I really need this fixed.

I don't want to sound rude, but a) the error message quite clearly states what's wrong and b) it's all explained in the installation instructions. You didn't set your permissions correctly. Use the script located at http://yoursite/admin/install/check.php to check your permissions (as suggested in the installation instructions). On some setups, you may need to set the permissions to 777 instead of 775 to make things work, but try 775 first and see if the script complains. bye, Dirk (not emailed - the old Usenet saying applies here, too: If you can post here, you can read here)

Thanks. Actually, I had someone else install it for me, and I have no idea about this script at all. That's why I had no clue what to do. Thank you for your help. It worked once it was changed to 777. *Mike
