Blaine is the man... I use 3 of his plugins and wonder why arent they standard... I needed a picture gallery so I really looked forward to what ever Blaine had to say about it...
Since a true plugin wasn't available I decided to try Geekage or is it Geekary, not sure... Its OK but I had some troubles with it I just couldn't dodge... Yeah I read the manual, I did the little steps but still had problems... Wrote the creator about a week ago and I got no word yet...
Anyway I figured if I cant get a true plugin I'll follow Blaines work, because I bet that even though it might not be a true plugin for sure Blaine knows what hes talking about...
I downloaded 4images and followed Blaines instructions to the letter and am amazed it works great so far... Just one problem which isn't Blaines responsibility is how in the world do I go about getting ImageMagick to work on Windows???
I really want to get auto thumbnails and auto resizing working but boy am I a fish out of water... Can someone please spare the heart to help me out on this one? I tried and failed too many times to continue... I suare I never felt so beat before... Any body have any suggestion? Ideas? Anything?
Thanks

I did, from binaries, to betas, to the sources... Maybe I did screw something up but dont know... I guess I need a long nights rest as I challenged this the way I did the iframes problem...
I even jumped to GD and NetPBM I think it is... I wish Geeklog had a true Gallery plugin like Geekage... Its good but images are broken, etc...
4images seems to work great but I know I am missing something... I hope someone knows the trick...
I heard within 4images to point to the directory... I looked for the answer and heard someone mention to make an absolute link to covert.exe... I am bugging out but its cool, this is my problem...
Thanks for any help on this

Victor,
Having choice is a good thing and I worked with Matthew to integrate 4images. Been testing it out on my site for a while and although its missing some key features that gallery had. its not bad and does integrate better.
You probally want to use the PHP 4.3 built-in support for the GD graphics library. It is also an option in the 4images setup. You will get crappy thumbnails and resizing until you change the constant for CONVERT_IS_GD2 to a 1 from 0. This is set in the 4images/includes/constants.php file.
I like the fact I can just copy images into a 4images category, then have 4images scan for new images and add them automatically to the database. Then I can generate new thumbnails and resize all new images. If you set the option to generate thumbnails automatically - it will do so but only if you user the user upload image method.

From feeling really cold on this I feel a little better knowing php 4.3.1 has native support for GD... OK, I am trying to tackle it again but I am being faced with this error when trying to access the Auto-Thumbnailer or Auto-Image-Resizer in the Admin control panel...
--------
GD library error.
Check module settings.
--------
Under settings in the 4image admin control panel I have tried setting a system path (c:etc) to the php, cli, dlls, extensions, mibs, openssl, etc... Nothing Works... I looked for the official site behind GD and found nothing really good so I went to php.net and found this script...
-------
<?php
var_dump(gd_info());
/* Typical Output
==============
array(9) {
["GD Version"]=>
string(24) "bundled (2.0 compatible)"
["FreeType Support"]=>
bool(false)
["T1Lib Support"]=>
bool(false)
["GIF Read Support"]=>
bool(true)
["GIF Create Support"]=>
bool(false)
["JPG Support"]=>
bool(false)
["PNG Support"]=>
bool(true)
["WBMP Support"]=>
bool(true)
["XBM Support"]=>
bool(false)
}
*/
?>
-------
But it keeps pulling back a fatal error...
-------
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: gd_info() in C:Serverwwwgd.php on line 2
-------
I guess though I might have native support I might have to activate it... I looked into the php.ini file and found the following...
-------
;extension=php_gd.dll
;extension=php_gd2.dll
-------
When I removed the ";" I got nothing but "Function Registration Failed - duplicate name..." errors...
Can someone help me out on this one please...
