Hi, just made the switch from PHPNuke and am to this point, very happy with Geeklog. The one thing I most like about Geeklog is the ease of adding static pages. My question is, can the url be something other than mysite.com/staticpages/index.php?page=20030304195729233 I believe it can be done, just not sure how to make it happen.
Thanks in advance, and keep up the good work!!

Yes and no ...
Currently, Geeklog will assign the static page IDs automatically. You can, however, simply change that id in the database if you want. There's also a feature request asking for an official interface for this but it hasn't been implemented yet ...
bye, Dirk

What about a 'Re-Direct' in an .htaccess file for each static page? This works just fine if it produces the result you are looking for.
ReDirect /old-pages/page1.html http://mysite.com/staticpages/index.php?page=20030304195729233

Are those redirects search engine friendly? Cos those current staticpages seem to be pain in the ass

I hacked the static pages plug-in to use words for the file ID.
so it now looks like this staticpages/index.php?page=contact
message me if you want the code,
I can send you a patch or simple instructions on how to do it
