Timezone and Upcoming Events

Im running GL 1.3.7 and have applied this Timezone hack to it. For the most part everything works fine. But the upcoming events block is off by +12 hours. Most of my events are for around 10pm by 10am the event block is empty. Anyone know of a way to hack the event block to subtract 12 hours off its removal time?
