OK, I feel like a moron but I guess I can't help that. My Older Stories block aparently stopped working some time ago and I never noticed. I just recently got around to bringin GL current and thats when I noticed.
Basicly, it's listed under "Blocks" as a normal block and I don't know if this is correct or not. I would have though it to be a php function but my attempts to find that info didn't get me anywhere. So if someone wouldn't mind giving me a smack on the back of the head and a point in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it.
Trying to be different, just like everyone else.

It's supposed to be a GL default block. If it's located on the left, it can be a normal block but not on the right.

If you have a rather old database, then the Older Stories block may indeed be a "normal" block (it's a "gldefault" block since Geeklog 1.3.5 or thereabouts). It should still work, though (it does on geeklog.net, as you can see, and it's a "normal" block here as well).
There is a bug in 1.3.7sr1 that makes the Older Stories block disappear if you change its settings (e.g. move it from the left side to the right). It should reappear, though, if you simply edit an existing story and save it again.
bye, Dirk
