One feature in the phplinksimplementation that would be very helpful would be the ability for visitors to notify the admin of broken links, either by email or by adding the link to the submission list. Has anyone hacked their GL-phplinks plugin to do this yet? It doesn't appear that this is a feature in the stand-alone version of phplinks either. I don't mind putting something together myself, but figured I'd ask if had already been done first. Thanks in advance.

why not just get them to email you?

Good question. That would be great, but I'm not getting good enough information from most of the emails to fix the problems. I've got the "Feedback" block on every page that let's users send a message easily, but the only messages I get regarding links are from anonymous users along the lines of... "A lot of your links are broken. Please fix them." The idea is to put a link next to each URL listing in phplinks that when clicked, notifies the site admin of the site that's broken, the site URL, and the URL of the edit form for that particular link.

This would be a great addition. I think it would more accurately pinpoint problem ones than having people report it via email. Anyone with a bunch of links on their site though ought to be armed with a bulk link checker too. If you're PC is running MS Windows, there's a free bulk one called Xenu. You can download it here. It works great. I use it every one to two weeks.
