Multiple Installations

Just a quick question...
If I plan to have multiple installations, for example:
root_dir
|
|-geeklog
|
|-main_domain.com (Web Root)
|
|-domain1.main_domain.com (Web Root)
Can I use the same "geeklog" folder for all domain names - main_domain.com, domain1.main_domain.com, etc., or will I need a seperate "geeklog" folder for each one - "geeklog_domain1"
Thanks,
- Brad

well, you have to specify the full URL in the config.php file in the geeklog directory. So, if you were to use somename.myurl.com, everytime you clicked on a link, if you clicked a link the URL would say somename.myurl.com?somepage=12321 so you could not have multiple domain functionality.
Maybe I am missin somethin;

I think as long as each of your installations has a separate config.php and lib-common.php, the rest of the core files can be shared. This requires checking each line which has a path, url, cookie, and database/table info, and adjusting them depending on whether you want them sharing the same or be separate. As for non-core blocks and plugins depending on how they are written, you might have to install multiple copies or manually change links to point to the common location.
